Description
A Complex, Elegant and Harmonious Chablis Premier Cru
The Chablis Premier Cru "Montee de Tonnerre" of Domaine Billaud-Simon is a white wine of the Chardonnay variety produced in the appellation of Chablis Premier Cru. This parcel of 2 hectares and 15 ares owes its name to its location along the old Roman road that once connected the cities of Auxerre and Tonnerre. The vines are planted in Kimmeridgian clay-dominated soil. During vinification, the wine undergoes an alcoholic fermentation, followed by a malolactic fermentation in a natural way in stainless steel tanks.
At the tasting, the Chablis Premier Cru "Montee de Tonnerre" 2015 by Domaine Billaud-Simon shows off a pretty white gold color with greenish reflections. The nose offers extremely rich aromas, developing mineral and spicy fragrances. Balanced in the mouth, it is powerful, fresh, mineral and soft, combining fruity flavors with beautiful floral touches. A wine offering great complexity, elegance and harmony.
This tasting note is intended to describe the general profile of the wine. It is however necessary to take into account that this product will evolve over time and come to be different than described here.
