Description
Made from a blend with 3 grapes (Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon), Villa Baulieu 2011 is mainly sourced from white chalky marl soils and from a few spots of basalt soil. Aged in french barrels for 10 to 12 months, Villa Baulieu team looks for harmony, finesse and elegance. This Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence is fine with complex aromas of mocha, liquorice and very refreshing mint liqueur dominate, underlined by hints of peony and liquorice sweets, followed by perfumes of black berries and white fleshed fruit. On the palate this red wine from Provence is fresh, dynamic, with a rich structure of tight, refined tannins. Perfectly integrated use of oak !
