The Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence
Protected Designation of Origin (PDO or AOC) is distributed on 4 200 hectares between the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseilles, on the Provence
vineyard at the South of France. The Mediterranean climate brings it sun as well as the Mistral wind, which make ideal conditions for varietals like Grenache
, Bourboulenc, or Cinsault
to grow... The vines are mostly planted on clay and limestone soils. The Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence PDO is famous for its high-end rosés with fresh red fruit notes (that represent 60% of the appellation production).
