Description
The elegance of a Languedoc red wine
The estate
Written records attest to the presence of vines in 936 in Langlade, a small village located in the Gard region. The phylloxera crisis wiped out the development of the vineyard, which was then in full expansion. In 1999 Rémy Pédreno, a virtuoso winemaker, created Domaine Roc d'Anglade with his wife. With a surface area of 10 hectares, the vineyard of this estate benefits from the exceptional limestone soil of Langlade.
The wines of the Domaine Roc d'Anglade express their terroir with authenticity and rank among the elite wines of the Languedoc.
The vineyard
This IGP Pays du Gard wine is produced from a 6-hectare vineyard, managed organically, with natural grass cover and situated on north, east and south-west facing slopes. The vines are 25 to 30 years old on average and grow on limestone marl with a siliceous clay subsoil.
Blend
This Roc d'Anglade Red 2020 is a blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah.
