Roc d'Anglade, the estate taken over by the brilliant and passionate winegrower Rémy Pédreno, bears witness to a rich winegrowing past. Written records dating back to 936 attest to the presence of vines in Langlade, a small town in the Gard. In the 18th century, after having Langlade wine served at court, Louis XIV granted the village a royal coat of arms, which can still be seen on bottle labels today. By 1870, the village of Langlade was booming thanks to the reputation of its wines, and a railway station and post office were built to export them. The phylloxera crisis wiped out this development. The population then fell by half. It wasn't until 1886 that wine-growing gradually re-emerged, with wines that immediately made a name for themselves.

The Roc d'Anglade estate was created in 1999. Under the impetus of Rémy Pédreno and his wife Martine, Roc d'Anglade has become one of the finest crus in the Languedoc. Spread across 10 hectares of vineyards, the Roc d'Anglade estate benefits from the exceptional limestone terroir of Langlade.
