A man of many talents, Michel Chapoutier holds the world record for 100/100 scores awarded by the American critic, Robert Parker. Mathilde, Michel Chapoutier's daughter, has taken over the running of this iconic house, which has over 350 hectares of vineyards in the most prestigious appellations of the northern and southern Rhone Valley region.

M. Chapoutier's Le Clos 2021 is a Saint-Joseph wine that stems from vines planted on brown soils composed mainly of coarse-grained granite.
The vintage
2021 is a vintage during which the contrasting weather conditions between the northern and southern parts of the Rhone Valley revealed the nuances and richness of each of these fine terroirs. Nose
Wild and complex, the nose combines scents black pepper, violet and matches, along with delicious notes of blueberry and blackberry coulis.
