Description
The purity of a flamboyant and voluptuous Châteauneuf-Du-Pape
The Chateauneuf-Du-Pape M. Chapoutier "Cross of Wood" 2013 is a plot selection wine that offers all the character of an exceptional terroir located in the east part of the Chateauneuf-Du-Pape appellation, near the village of Bedarrides.
The Southern Rhone Valley’s typical and emblematic soil consists of large, quartzite pebbles and sandy red clay that gives this 100% Grenache all of its intense flavors.
The Chateauneuf-Du-Pape M. Chapoutier "Cross of Wood" 2013 is a vintage noted for its freshness of fruit. The intensity of the aromatic bouquet seduces with blackberry, blackcurrant and jammy black fruit notes. With aeration, it evolves to offer spicy fragrances and garrigue scents. On the palate, the vintage unveils an ample and voluptuous mouthful with smooth, well-integrated tannins that balance with vibrant acidity. A magnificently styled M. Chapoutier Chateauneuf-Du-Pape that is powerful and indulgent. It can be enjoyed until 2030.
