The result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (52%) and Merlot (48%), Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2017 of Chateau Pichon Baron is aged in one-wine barrels for 18 months. This great Pauillac red wine is made from grapes from gravelly plots located near the Gironde estuary, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
On tasting, Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2017 from Chateau Pichon Baron has a dark and intense crimson red color. Very expressive, the aromatic bouquet opens on notes of small red fruits with morello cherry and strawberry scents. Beautiful notes of sweet spices then embalm the nose. On the palate, the mouth unfolds an elegant substance with a deliciously velvety texture, structured by supple tannins. The palate has a very nice balance and great precision, underlining the correctness of the maturing process, perfectly integrated. Revealing all the charm of the Pauillac appellation, Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2017 of Chateau Pichon Baron will be appreciated from now on while presenting an interesting perspective for aging up to 2037.
