2010 Pauillac, Second Wine from Chateau Latour, Bordeaux
The Forts de Latour is the Second Wine from Chateau Latour and was aged as carefully as the great wine. The difference between the two lies in the fact that Les Fort de Latour aged in 50% new barrels. This vintage 2010 is 72.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by 25.5% Merlot and Petit Verdot.
This 2010 Pauillac reveals a beautiful deep colour. The rather complex nose is composed of red berries. The 2010 Les Forts de Latour is a pure, fine, aromatic and full-bodied wine. The rich and elegant tannins remain thick and long. This exceptional year foreshadows a strong ageing potential.
