The 2014 Clarence Haut-Brion is vinified by Château Haut-Brion and carries all the promises of a well-achieved vintage under a splendid and long Indian summer. This Second vin du Chateau Haut-Brion Pessac-Leognan Rouge is 80% Merlot. The former gives off subtle floral, fruity and woodland notes. The attack is silky and evolves on roundness on the mid-palate. The tannins are dense, blended - mark of 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc - and well-integrated in a full-bodied and fleshy wine. The fruit intensity is confirmed. On the whole, this wine is both frank and consistent.
