Description
The richness and refinement of a Sicilian red wine by Feudi del Pisciotto
The estate
Founded in 1700, the estate Feudi del Pisciotto produces wines under the IGT Terre Siciliane appellation, recognized by numerous international critics for their brilliance, complexity, and refinement.
The vineyard
An undeniable reference among the greatest wines of Sicily, Feudi del Pisciotto oversees a 44-hectare vineyard, composed of both indigenous grape varieties (Nero d’Avola, Frappato) and international grape varieties (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, sémillon, and gewürztraminer).
The wine
The Pinot Noir L'Eterno 2016 from Feudi del Pisciotto was born from a suggestion by the famous Italian oenologist Giacomo Tachis, to create a Sicilian red wine that authentically reflects the significant aromatic palette of pinot noir.
The label of this wine, produced since 2011, is adorned with the representation of a hand, from a work by the Italian sculptor Giacomo Serpotta. The restoration of the work is financed by the Feudi del Pisciotto estate with the support of major names in fashion design.
Vinification and aging
Harvested during the first half of September, the grapes undergo vinification in steel tanks. The aging process lasts 12 months in barrels and is completed by an additional 6 months of aging in the bottle.
Blend
Pinot noir (100%).
