Description
The estate
In 1896, Marcel Ott, a young agricultural engineer from Alsace, settled in Provence with the ambition that this vineyard, greatly impacted by phylloxera, could produce fine wines.
Today, the Ott family still perpetuates this know-how in order to produce a range of rosé, red and white Provence wines from three estates, Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan.
Created by René Ott in the 1930s, the iconic and recognizable Domaines Ott* bottle mirrors the quality of these fine Provence wines.
In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined the Louis Roederer house.
The vineyard
The first of the Domaines Ott*, Château de Selle was acquired by Marcel Ott in 1912. The estate located not far from Draguignan, enjoys an ideal location on high, sunny limestone hills with stony, arid soils, which result in very low yields.
Château de Selle "Rosé Cœur Grain" 2021 by Domaines Ott* is a Côtes de Provence wine known for its freshness and elegance.
