In 1896, Marcel Ott, a young agricultural engineer from Alsace, settled in Provence with the ambition that this vineyard, greatly impacted by phylloxera, could produce fine wines. Today, the Ott family still perpetuates this know-how in order to produce a range of rosé, red and white Provence wines from three estates, Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan.
Created by René Ott in the 1930s, the iconic and unmistakable Domaines Ott* bottle mirrors the quality of these fine Provence wines.
In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined the Louis Roederer house.
Domaines Ott*'s BY OTT 2021 rosé is a Côtes de Provence wine made from a rigorous selection of grapes.
Vinification and ageing
Following the harvest, the grapes are gravity-fed into Château de Selle’s new cellar, before being directed to the vat room reserved exclusively for the production of By Ott rosé.
