Description
Legendary cru, Hermitage La Chapelle from the Paul Jaboulet-Aîné estate is made from 100% Syrah. It is the richness of the different terroirs it comes from that gives rise to the complexity of La Chapelle.
La Chapelle 2012 stands out as one of the best wines of this vintage. Born mainly on the Le Méal lieu-dit, the hottest and best-exposed sector of the famous hill, Hermitage La Chapelle 2012 is aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels. On the nose, this 2012 vintage exudes notes of graphite, blackberries, roasted meats, roasted coffee beans and licorice. The structure of this wine is dense, generous and tight-knit. With incredible purity, its tannins are abundant and fine.
