Juicy and fresh, with an enticingly plump core of white peach, yellow apple, star fruit and acacia notes that glide through a verbena-gilded finish. The subtle underlying acidity helps to carry this off easily, leaving an echo of macadamia nut at the very end. Gorgeous. Clairette and Roussanne. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with plenty of extract on the palate. Driving acidity and a powerful finish suggest this has a long life ahead of it. It's delicious now, however, in a big and bold - but dry - style with a saline finish. Also contains 10% Grenache Blanc, and 1% each of Clairette Rose, Grenache Gris, Picardan, Picpoul Blanc and Picpoul Gris. Biodynamic, fermented and aged in foudres and old barriques. 6,000 bottles made.

The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Boisrenard Blanc is a crazy mix of just about every variety and was raised 65% in foudre and 35% in old barrels. It's a deeper, richer white offering ample spice, baked apple, and Tarte Tatin-like notes in a balanced, still vibrant, fresh style. It's going to benefit from a year or two of bottle age, and it too should have a decade (or more) of overall longevity.

Ambitious yet very elegant, beautifully built, with great depth and a savory, refined texture, a deep finish, a brilliant dimension, superb balance—pure class.

The flavor profile shows a certain maturity. The palate is broader, clearly above the estate cuvée in terms of volume and density.
