Boasting very ancient origins, Clos Rene was formerly called "Reney" on the map of the engineer-geographer, Pierre de Belleyme. The estate has belonged to the same family for several generations. It is currently managed by Jean-Marie Garde.
Clos Rene 2021 is a Pomerol wine that stems from a 15-hectare vineyard, located on the western slope of the appellation's plateau. The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on gravel and sandy soils dating back to the Quaternary period, upon an iron ore subsoil.
Clos Rene 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
