A distinguished Chilean red wine, enticing in its balance and concentration

The estate

Nestled in the splendid Colchagua Valley, Clos Apalta has established itself as one of Chile's most renowned estates. The unique microclimate of Clos Apalta, combined with preserved traditional expertise, forms the cornerstone of crafting exceptional artisan wines.

The vineyard

Situated on remarkable terroir, the vineyard spans 60 hectares, including vines some over 80 years old. Clos Apalta is a Central Valley wine, renowned for its elegance and distinctive aromatic signature.

The vintage

The 2022 vintage in Apalta was marked by cooler conditions, a dry winter, an unstable spring with no frosts, and a cooler summer with more sunlight. Growth was delayed, requiring rigorous irrigation. Harvest began one week later than the previous year. These conditions allowed optimal ripening of the grapes, producing balanced, fruit-rich wines with good density, texture, and excellent aging potential.

Blend

Carmenère (68%)
Cabernet Sauvignon (22%)
Merlot (10%).
