Chateau Meyney 2016

Bordeaux - Saint-Estephe - Red Chateau Meyney Chateau Meyney 2016 1151/16
  • Parker : 90-92
  • J. Robinson : 16,5

A Saint-Estephe full of character

Chateau Meyney 2016 is a vintage that every wine-maker will remember, thanks to the Indian summer and the weather conditions during the harvest.

Chateau Meyney 2016 is a blend of 49% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Petit Verdot. This Saint-Estephe has a pronounced and complex nose with notes of juicy black fruit. The aromas are very concentrated. The mouth has a powerful attack, with a beautiful acidity and freshness. In the middle of the palate, the tannins are well-structured and creamy. The finish has smoky and mineral (graphite) characteristics.  A Saint-Estephe full of class and character

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2016 Meyney has quite an opulent and flamboyant bouquet, which is something I do not expect from this Saint Estèphe. It seems to calm down in the glass and attains more delineation and poise. The palate is sweet on the entry with impressive precision, quite linear in style with blackberry, graphite and smoky notes, leading to a finish that offers satisfying persistence. Excellent.;2021 - 2040
