Located on a hillock near the Gironde, the Chateau Meyney is situated on a 50 hectares vineyard. The 2015 vintage is composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot.
The ruby-tinted deep red coloured 2010 Chateau Meyney offers a scrumptious nose. It unveils redcurrant, blackcurrant and mild spices aromas. On the palate, this Saint-Estèphe is fresh and its tannic density foreshadows a very good ageing potential.
Deep garnet in color, the nose of the 2010 Meyney is quite tired, with some oxidized/nutty notes and vague notions of prunes and dried figs plus a tobacco waft in the undercurrent. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is drying out and overly chewy with a flat finish.
