Description
The estate
Located in the heart of Libourne, Château Mazeyres is an emblematic property of the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. The estate boasts ancient origins, dating back to Roman times. Since 1992, Alain Moueix has been managing Château Mazeyres with talent and passion, bringing his winegrowing expertise and know-how.
The vineyard
Château Mazeyres 2015 is a Pomerol wine that stems from a 25.57-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the appellation. The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted on sandy gravel and clay.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted twice. Extraction is carried out gently by pumping over and punching down. Vinification in temperature-controlled cement and stainless steel vats. The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (of which 30% are new and 70% are second-fill barrels).

Colour
This wine is an intense violet colour.
Nose
The intense and refreshing nose blends fresh fruit fragrances (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries) with delicate spicy notes.
Palate
A delicate and supple attack precedes a palate that seduces with its fine tannins, smoothness and precision. The finish is persistent and gives off delicious fruity notes.
Cellaring
Château Mazeyres 2015 can be kept in the cellar until around 2030 to express its full range of aromas.
