Following a cold, wet winter and a mild and rainy spring, Chateau Marquis de Terme had to face severe mildew pressure. The summer, which brought high temperatures and severe drought, exposed the vineyard to water stress. The beautiful month of September made it possible to obtain fruit that had reached perfect maturity.
The Grand Vin of the estate, the Chateau Marquis de Terme 2018 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), complemented by Merlot (35%) and Petit Verdot (5%). The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels of which 50% is new wood. A Grand Vin of Margaux, the Chateau Marquis de Terme 2018 expresses all the typicity of its appellation, in a great Bordeaux vintage.
