The fabric of a fine Margaux character
Chateau Marquis de Terme is an emblematic name in the prestigious Margaux appellation, and is one of those unmissable Grands Crus Classes from the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.
Ludovic David, the chateau's wine director, has masterfully assembled the wines since 2009. Chateau Marquis de Terme reveals all its potential with wines that stand out vintage after vintage as they continue to gain more density and precision.
Although the 2017 vintage will be remembered because of the frost that hit the Bordeaux vineyards at the end of April, the Marquis de Terme displays an excellent level despite the challenges of the vintage.
Concentrated and with beautiful ripe fruit, the bouquet reveals strawberry and plum notes underlined with smoky notes reminiscent of the delicate tea scents. On the palate, it is structured with lovely acidity and balanced tannins. The Marquis de Terme 2017 is a powerful and well-structured Margaux that will age beautifully and reveal all of its complexity and finesse.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Marquis de Terme offers delicate raspberry tart and blackberry pie notions with hints of potpourri, baking spices and dusty soil. Medium-bodied with a velvety texture and just enough red and black fruits in the mouth, it finishes on an earthy note.
