Description
A Grand Cru Classe of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Magrez Fombrauge is one of the most beautiful properties of the Saint-Emilion appellation, on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region.
With the Chateau Magrez Fombrauge 2017, the Bernard Magrez property confirms yet again its style, represented by high quality wines.
An illustrious property set in an archaeological site dating back to the 5th century BC, Chateau Magrez Fombrauge extends over a rare vineyard with an exceptional terroir. The 1.96 hectares of vines are planted on soils of clay-limestone, typical of the Saint-Emilion plateau, combined with Fronsadais molasses soils.
A blend that pays homage to the region's flagship red grape variety, the Chateau Magrez-Fombrauge 2017 clearly communicates the generosity of Merlot (75% of the blend) and the signature flavors of Cabernet Franc (25%). A great wine from Saint-Emilion, with a striking fruit-forward profile, structured on the palate, with a dense tannic backbone.
