The opulence and structure of a red grand vin from Pauillac
A Grand Cru Classe of Pauillac, located on the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Lynch-Moussas has produced a brilliant 2018 vintage.
The 2018 vintage required plenty of work in the vineyard. The strong climatic contrasts of the year subjected the vineyard to a rainy spring, which brought strong mildew pressure. A beautiful summer finally arrived in July, shining on until October. The grape harvest began on September 18th and ended on October 10th, yielding magnificent fruit, with each grape having reached perfect ripeness.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Merlot (28%), the Chateau Lynch-Moussas 2018 offers the expression of a great Pauillac red wine. At the tasting, the wine presents an intensely deep color, while the aromatic bouquet is enhanced by pure fruit. The palate is well-rounded with great amplitude and a structure defined by perfectly integrated and very present tannins. This wine lingers long at the end of the palate. A great Pauillac red wine from an exceptional vintage.
