Château Le Gay 2025

Aromatic and pure, this has much less obvious oak than usual with a focus on the purity of the blackcurrant and plum fruit. Excellent elegance and poise – still muscular with cedar, tobacco and liquorice elements but the fruit really shines. Plenty of push with a grippy finish. Strong but yummy.

Flowers, truffles, licorice, cherries, chocolate, and espresso are working together to create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is rich, concentrated, deep, dark, and creamy. The finish delivers layers of plums, dark chocolate, spice, espresso, and fresh, vibrant black cherries that last. Drink from 2030-2055. 94-96 Pts

Cloves, white pepper, blueberry fruits, damson and cocoa bean, plenty of gourmet touches, lavender, rose stem, just skirting full ripeness, but with a lovely juicy finish. Harvest September 2 to 11. 19.5 hl/ha. 100% new oak.

Inviting notes of blueberries, cherries, tea leaves and orange zest in the bouquet of Le Gay 2025! It is quite literally the foretelling of a charming freshness! Suave on the attack, the wine unfolds subtly, gradually, ultimately revealing its power on the finish through precise, perfectly integrated tannins. A harmonious, elegant, lively, charming wine, ready for a few decades! The Parent family must be proud of it 🙂

Deep red color with black highlights. Highly aromatic nose, with ripe, subtle fruit. A spicy undertone appears when the glass is swirled. Rich from the attack, with volume on the mid-palate and a soft, fleshy texture that caresses the palate, the wine develops with depth and length, weaving subtly through the finish, continuously perfumed. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol: 14° - pH: 3.65 (never this low). Yield: 19 hl/ha. Harvest: from September 2 to 15, before the storm on the 20th.
