Description

The power and finesse of an indispensable Cru Bourgeois from Saint-Estephe

Owned by the Dourthe vineyards, the Chateau Le Boscq is one of the must-drink wines from the renowned Saint-Estephe appellation. Powerful, elegant and of great finesse, this Cru Bourgeois located on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region is popular with Saint-Estephe lovers who are in search of a classic style.

Boasting a superb terroir overlooking the Gironde estuary, Chateau Le Boscq has an 18-hectare vineyard planted on Garonne gravel ridges in clay-limestone subsoil with excellent exposure that ensures optimum ripeness of the grape varieties associated with the property.

The 2017 vintage suffered from frost at the end of April, but the terroir of Chateau Le Bocsq was spared to produce a great wine. The Chateau Le Boscq 2017 is a fine wine that is a tribute to the constant attention from the Chateau's technical teams that were responsive and precise during the harvest and winemaking. In the vineyard, there was a rigorous berry selection, and then in the winery, there was the use of optical sorting that made it possible to get the best from this vintage. A precise vinification allowed for the soft extraction of elegant tannins while at the same time preserving the freshness of the fruit.

From a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (64%), and complemented by Merlot (34%) and Petit Verdot (2%), the Chateau Le Boscq 2017 offers a fine Saint-Estephe experience that will seduce with its finesse and assert its own identity.
