The property
Belonging to Vignobles Dourthe, Chateau Le Boscq is a property located within the Saint-Estephe appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux. Chateau Le Boscq has been promoted to Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel since the new classification of Crus Bourgeois in 2020.
The vineyard
The Chateau Le Boscq vineyard covers 18 hectares located in the heart of the Saint-Estephe appellation. Planted on superb Garonne and clay hilltops, the vineyard overlooks the Garonne. Chateau Le Boscq is certified Terra Vitis and since 2018 HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3.
The blend
The Chateau Le Boscq 2020 is made from a blend of cabernet-sauvignon (55%), merlot (38%), cabernet franc (6%), petit verdot (1%).
The tasting
Color
The wine displays a very deep, dark, almost black color.
Nose
Powerful and complex, the nose reveals intense notes of worn oak and cedar, which blend harmoniously with fragrances of spices and fresh black fruits.
Palate
Full and with great tension, the palate seduces with its smooth touch and beautiful length.
