After a mild and wet winter, the spring of 2018 was marked by heavy rains, which resulted in great mildew pressure and late blight threatening the vineyard. At the end of May, storms and hail hit the Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion vineyard. Finally, in the month of July, the sun began to shine without stopping until autumn. The vine was aided greatly by these ideal climatic conditions and blossomed perfectly. Thermal amplitude brought by cool nights favored a perfect ripening of the berries.
