Château Larrivet Haut-Brion 2023 white

What a scent! A perfumed, mineral, profound, floral, playful bouquet; dense palate, creamy texture, very good acidity structure, lots of energy, long finish once again marked by minerality. Like the red wine, a hit.

95% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sémillon. Cask sample. Citrus and exotic-fruit notes on the nose. Quite full on the palate with a bitter-fresh finish. Clean. Quite appetising but drink on the fruit. (JL)

Yellow citrus, pomelo, white peach, flowers, and Granny Smith apple aromatics shoot from the glass. On the palate, the wine is sweet, vibrant, ripe, round, and fruity, finishing with a blend of ripe grapefruits, white peaches, mango, and just a hint of spice that shows on the backend of the finish. The wine is produced from 86% Sauvignon Blanc, and 14% Semillon. Drink from 2026-2033. 94 Pts.

Pale yellow-green, silver reflections. Some grapefruit, fine woody spice, notes of yellow tropical fruit, a mineral touch, floral hints. Juicy on the palate, fine pome fruit, elegant, fresh structure, some lime on the finish, good persistence, mineral and saline aftertaste.

Enjoyable, well-judged grilled oak, clear weight on the palate without heaviness, citrus, peach, oyster-shell minerality. Aged in amphoras and large oak casks.
