A very aromatic Haut-Medoc with a beautiful structure
Chateau Larrivaux is a Haut-Medoc located in the commune of Cissac-en-Medoc bordering Saint-Estephe. This 25 hectare property has been run by women of the family since 1580. Berengere Tesseron, seconded by Christophe Barbey (technical director), manages the property that produces wines that are Merlot-based.
Chateau Larrivaux 2016 has a dense, bright and purplish red color. The nose is quite powerful presenting aromas of black fruit, providing a remarkable freshness. In the mouth, the wine is endowed with a structure that has a well-integrated tannins. There is a hint of orange peel that is very seductive, and present in the wines fruity finish. Produced from 53% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon; 9% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Larrivaux 2016 is a Haut-Medoc that was well-vinified and bred with intelligence.
