Description
A fruity and juicy red wine from Haut-Medoc by Lanessan
The Chateau Lanessan 2017 of the eponymous Chateau Lanessan, a property famous among lovers of Bordeaux wine lovers, is beginning to look like a beautiful vintage and a true expression of its superb terroir.
Located in the Haut-Medoc appellation, on the edge of Saint-Julien, Chateau Lanessan enjoys a superb terroir. Just in front of the Gironde River, the vineyard occupies a total area of 45 hectares, planted on a beautiful ridge of gravel. The grape variety grown here, typical of the Medoc and the region's flagship red wine grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Since 2009, Spanish oenologist Paz Espejo has assisted the team in elevating the wines of Chateau Lanessan to the highest level of quality. This newest vintage, Chateau Lanessan 2017 proves the estate to be one of the most important references of the Haut-Medoc. Produced with the greatest care and precision, the meticulous sorting and blending testify to the expertise of the estate’s technical teams, who each year find the best way to fully reveal the identity of each grape variety. With a high phenolic concentration, and very present, elegant tannins, the Chateau Lanessan 2017 reveals a superbly fruity expression, a beautiful dense texture and a liveliness on the palate. Chateau Lanessan 2017 promises to evolve very nicely over the years to come.
