Description
Chateau Laffitte Carcasset is a Cru Bourgeois from the Saint-Estephe appellation from a 30-hectare vineyards with vines averaging 30 years of age. The vines benefit from a soil made up of Garonne gravel and clay-limestone subsoil. The wine is aged in barrels for 12 months. The Chateau Laffitte Carcasset 2016 blend is 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% press wine.
At tasting, Chateau Laffitte Carcasset 2016 develops fruity (black fruit, red plum) and oaky (cedar) aromas. The tannins are crunchy and pleasant in the mouth. The Chateau Laffitte Carcasset 2016 is a harmonious wine revealing a beautiful concentration and a well-integrated oak.
