The intensity of a fruity and elegant dry white Bordeaux wine
2018 marks the birth of a very fine vintage for Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey, located on the greatest terroirs of Sauternes, south of Bordeaux.
The climatic conditions of the year 2018 met all the criteria to produce a great wine Bordeaux Dry White thanks to sufficient water reserves and a sunny, dry and hot summer. At Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey, the harvest began from August 29th to September 5th with perfectly ripe berries in excellent health.
Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey's 2018 dry white Bordeaux wine is made from a blend of 60% of Semillon and 40% of Sauvignon Blanc. The berries were delicately pressed allowing the juice to ferment for two weeks in 500 liter barrels. The wine was then aged for 8 months in 500 liter barrels containing 25% new French oak.
On tasting, the dry white Bordeaux wine Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2018 presents a dazzling result. The nose is full of aromas of beautiful ripe fruit with notes of pear and vanilla. The Sauvignon Blanc expresses itself fully on the freshness of citrus zests and smoky notes. On the palate, the wine displays a greedy and suave texture, evolving with great freshness and complexity. A very beautiful dry white Bordeaux signed by Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey.
