A fine and well-balanced Haut-Médoc red wine

The estate

Boasting a beautiful location on the left bank of Bordeaux, Château La Lagune is one of the finest references in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Since 2004, Caroline Frey has invested her skills and dedication in order to elevate Château La Lagune to the very height of its appellation.

The vineyard

Château La Lagune is a Haut-Médoc wine made from 80 hectares of vines that are planted on a gravelly hillside. The grape varieties grown on the estate are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
This property has been making excellent wines under the administration of Caroline Frey, and 2012 continues their recent success. With a deep ruby/purple color, notes of new saddle leather, graphite, blackcurrants and black cherries, a supple texture, medium to full body and beautiful purity, this is an outstanding 2012 to drink over the next 20 years. In general, the blend tends to be approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance 25% Merlot followed by 15% Petit Verdot.
