Description
Chateau La Croix du Casse was acquired in 2005 by the Casteja family and is located at the southern end of the Pomerol appellation. Red wine is produced on a terroir composed of gravel and ancient sandy soils that have a subsoil of iron oxide. The vines consist of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The Chateau La Croix du Casse 2011 has smoky and fleshy notes on the nose, with hints of licorice, caramel and black cherry. This medium-bodied wine should be consumed quickly.
