Description
The estate
Chateau Haut-Marbuzet is a cru bourgeois located in the Saint-Estephe appellation.
The vineyard
The vines that make up the 66-hectare vineyard are 30 years old on average. They are planted on a rump of Gunzian gravel and a clay-limestone subsoil.
Winemaking and aging
After the manual harvests, which took place from 11 to 29 September, the harvested berries macerate for 19 days. Thanks to the tannic richness of the wine, not many pump-overs were carried out and no pressings were added.
Blend
Merlot (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5%).
