Description
Chateau Haut-Marbuzet wine is produced from a 66-hectare estate in the Saint-Estephe appellation. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
At tasting, the Chateau Haut-Marbuzet 2006 offers a complex wine. On the nose, one can smell a fragrant bouquet with currant and cranberry aromas, as well as rather saline fragrances. This is a fleshy wine. On the palate, the wine is balanced, but requires a greater concentration. There are notes of red fruit. On the finish, the wine ends a little too quickly, but offers pleasurable spicy notes. This wine can be consumed now (2016) or up until 2021-2024.
