Description
Chateau Haut-Brion is a 1st Classified Growth of 1855 red wine produced in the appellation of Pessac-Leognan. The total area of production is 48.35 hectares, and the vineyard’s grape varieties are 45,4% Merlot, 43,9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9,7% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
At the tasting, the nose of the Chateau Haut-Brion 2004, rather discreetly, releases fragrances of red fruits, minerals, wood and smoke. The palate reveals a beautiful complexity, with great concentration and tannins that do not attack the palate. It has a good length and precision. An elegant and refined wine from one of the best vintages.
