The wine is rich and highly structured. 2006 is already expressed by great minerality and freshness on the palate. There is also hints of honey, spices and exotic fruits. Concentrated, the texture is silky and gourming. A very nice balance.
Chateau Guiraud 2006
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted at the Sauternes 2006 ten-year on horizontal in Bordeaux. The 2006 Guiraud felt a little constricted on the nose, did not quite possess the exuberance or flow of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with dried quince and marmalade, moderate depth but it tapers in towards the finish. I have encountered better bottles of this in the past - this one was just not performing on the day - therefore I will seek to re-taste in the future. Tasted April 2016.
