Description

Characteristics and tasting tips of Château Gazin 2023

Tasting

Colour
The colour reveals a beautiful garnet hue.

Nose
The nose combines delicious fruity and floral fragrances (peony).

Palate
Perfectly combining freshness and elegance, the palate is seduced by its fruity structure (cherry, blueberry) and its silky touch.

A smooth and full Pomerol red wine

The estate

An essential reference of Pomerol, the Château Gazin testifies to very ancient origins. In 1917, Château Gazin was acquired by Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of the current owners, the De Bailliencourt dit Courcol family.

The vineyard

Château Gazin 2023 is a Pomerol wine from a 26-hectare vineyard located on the high terrace of a clay-gravelly terroir. Château Gazin is thus the largest of the crus of the famous appellation located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region.

Vinification and ageing

16 months of ageing in barrels (50% new and 50% of one wine).

Blend

Merlot (89%)
Cabernet Franc (7%)
Cabernet Sauvignon (4%).
