1996 Listrac Cru Bourgeois
Fonreaud (originally Font-reaux) means Fontaine Royale (royal fountain). According to the legend, a Birtish King and his entourage stopped in Fonreaud to drink from a water source.
The 1996 Chateau Fonreaud 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot produced from a single-plot vineyard. The vintage displays an orange-tinted, deep red hue. The nose is very fruity, complex, intense and pleasant. The very generous palate offers an incredible array of flavours leading to grenadine on the finish.
