Château de Fieuzal 2018 white

De Fieuzal's 2018 Blanc bursts with tropical fruit notions of green guava, fresh pineapple and mango, followed by nuances of yuzu zest, lime leaves and jasmine. The medium-bodied palate delivers fantastic freshness and intensity with loads of citrusy layers, delivered with lovely harmony, finishing on a lingering pineapple note.

This is plump, with a mix of star fruit, white peach and lemon gelée notes, backed by straw and honeysuckle through the finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2023. 1,200 cases made.

Pretty rich, stone fruits. Exotic fruits abound, with even touches of pineapple juice. Very enjoyable but doesn’t quite have the lift-off you want; although there is some grip on the finish.

This has a rich, toasty nose of cooked pear, dried pineapple, hazelnut and marmalade. It’s full-bodied with bright acidity. Dense and powerful. Better from 2022.

Juicy, sweet, fresh, vibrant yellow citrus with vanilla and floral accents come through loud and clear from the start all the way through to the creamy, fresh and fruity finish.

Bright yellow-green, silver reflections. Discreet fruit nuances, some honeydew melon and mango, delicate honey blossom, orange zest. Juicy, silky texture, yellow fruit hints, discreet acidity, salty-mineral touch on the finish, already very well developed and easy to drink, a sturdy food wine.

The white de Fieuzal 2018 offers a very pretty perfume of honeysuckle and orange blossom, over a core of lemon tart and green guava. Medium-bodied, it is vibrant and energetic on the palate, with mineral sparks on the finish.

An exquisitely delicate nose of linden, white fruits, bergamot and lily. The palate is broad and generous, yet finishes with a lively freshness that brings balance. A rich Fieuzal.

Subtle, delicate notes of peach and white flowers mingle on the nose. The palate is balanced, airy, a little evanescent but very pleasing nonetheless, and refreshing.

Right from the start, the bouquet reveals a fresh, fruity wine on the nose, with notes of anise and citrus. It combines richness and freshness thanks to its opulence, salinity and vibrancy. A convincing wine.

Another beautiful white, the 2018 Château De Fieuzal Blanc has plenty of honeyed lime, grapefruit, and pineapple notes to go with a supple, nicely textured, balanced style on the palate. With juicy acidity, moderate depth and length, but just loads of charm, it's ideal for enjoying over the coming 4-5 years.

94–96. Barrel Sample. Always a classic, this wine shows great potential for aging. It has a steely edge to the ripe white fruits and zesty acidity which adds intensity.
