The 2015 Arsac is a 69% Cabernet Sauvignon and 31% Merlot blend of the Margaux appellation. The harvests took place from September 17th to September 25th (for Merlot) and from September 30th to October 12th (for Cabernet Sauvignon). This purple-tinted red Chateau d'Arsac is fragranced on pleasant expressions of red berry, toasted and smoky notes due to ageing process. On the palate, the attack is smooth though strong with a precise, silky and balanced structure. The finish is generous, giving the sensation to crunch the grape. It is a well-produced Margaux.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 D'Arsac has plenty of dark berry fruit tinged with tobacco on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, quite sharp in the mouth, edgy with a light marine influence on the slightly tinny finish. Give this another year in bottle. Tasted September 2017.
