Description
A Beautifully Expressive and Aromatic White Wine from Lynch-Bages
A great white wine from Chateau Lynch-Bages, an emblematic property in the Pauillac appellation, on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region, the Lynch-Bages White was born in 1990 from a desire to illustrate the freshness and aromatic complexity of the three white grape varieties traditionally present in the heart of the AOX Bordeaux Blancs secs.
The Lynch-Bages White 2017 showcases the characteristics of the 2017 vintage, which was quite atypical and full of contrasts, but remarkably flattering to the white wines of Bordeaux. Harvested at perfect maturity, the berries were found to be very healthy with an optimal balance of sugar-acidity, an aromatic richesse and remarkably fresh fruit.
Made from a blend of Sauvignon blanc (40%), complemented by Semillon (41%) and Muscadelle (19%), the Lynch-Bages White 2017 displays all of the typical characteristics of its vintage. At the tasting, it seduces the eyes first with its pale yellow color and green reflections typical of Sauvignon Blanc. The nose reveals the complexity known to be a signature of Lynch-Bages, revealing the purity and freshness of the fruit. On the palate, the frank and lively attack combines with a roundness in the mouth. The wine evolves with an elegant texture, presenting the energy of a perfectly balanced acidity, which stretches into a very long finish. A great white Bordeaux, worthy of the high rank of Lynch-Bages.
