In the south-east of Sicily, in Italy, between the provinces of Ragusa, Catania and Caltanissetta, lies the territory of the DOC Vittoria. The name of this designation is inspired by the town of Vittoria, founded by a countess of the same name who lived in the 17th century. This woman was at the origin of the vineyards cultivated by the settlers of the region. It was from this period that the wine of Vittoria became known throughout Sicily and later in Europe.

DOC Vittoria Rosso is renowned for producing fruity red wines with a sweet, full-bodied flavour. Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes are used. These clay-limestone soils of the Vittoria plain and the Ragusa plateau produce wines full of vitality that express the full personality of their terroir depending on the vintage. These novello style wines are fruity and light. This vinification process involves carbonic maceration. Novello-style wines are characterised by an intense ruby colour, fruity with low tannin and acidity. They are ready to drink wines, perfect for an aperitif with friends.
