Australia’s Shining Star
Founded in 2001, Tim Smith Wines focuses on producing small batches of top quality wines that highlight the beautiful terroir of the Barosa Valley. Smith started his wine career as a cellar hand in 1987 and after 15 years of education and experience he became a winemaker. If the wine label does not have Tim’s thumb print of approval on the label it will not be sold.
The Shiraz grape is the most planted variety in Australia. This bold red wine is bursting with notes of blueberries, blackcurrants and cherries. It is full bodied and often has accents of pepper and spice on the finish. This Tim Smith Barossa Shiraz offers everything we love about this grape. The estate wines are made from select parcels of 20 to100 year old grape vines. It is refined and offers plum and dark fruit notes that are balanced wonderfully with an earthy backbone.
