Description
Think Outside the Box with a South African Rosé
On the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountains, this family run winery creates beautifully terroir driven wines on their estate. With a bit less than 75 acres, this boutique winery produces small volumes of wine with anywhere between 500 to 1,000 cases a year. Because of its small scale, Noble Hill is able to be extremely hands on and meticulous in all aspects of their winemaking. They are able to focus on quality from start to finish, allowing for lovely and approachable wines.
The Noble Hill Mourvedre Rose is everything you want: crisp, refreshing, bursting with red fruit and a pretty salmon pink. Traditionally, Mourvedre had been used in the production of high quality Rosé wines in Provence, and has been grown extensively in Spain, California, South Africa and southern parts of Australia. The 2018 growing season in South Africa was dry and moderate, allowing for the heat loving grape to ripen slowly and evenly. On the palate, the wine is bright with notes of rose, raspberry, watermelon and strawberry.
