Description
Chateau Nenin Second wine -La Fugue de Nenin- boasts typical Pomerol charm. The vintage is produced from vines planted in sandy clay soils which cover half of the Chateau's vineyard. La Fugue refers to the music composition technique -a fugue- which consists of recurring repetitions at different pitches of a main subject (theme). The 2005 La Fugue de Nenin is 90% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc.
This vintage reveals smooth, fruity, and very fresh scents. The palate is round, fruity, and marked by delectable ripe fruits. The thick, remarkably dense, and pleasantly pure wine also carries hints of earth flavours, spicy currant, and even black cherry. This 2005 La Fugue de Nenin is fairly long and offers well-integrated tannins.
