Description
The Finesse and Generosity of a Pomerol
The second wine of Chateau La Connivence, La Belle Connivence was born from a collaboration between three wine-loving friends: Johan Micoud (former international soccer player) Matthieu Chalme (Girondins de Bordeaux soccer player) and Alexandre de Malet Roquefort (winemaker in Saint-Emilion).
The La Belle Connivence cuvee is made from the young vines of the estate, offering the unique expression of the legendary Pomerol appellation, in a style full of generosity and finesse.
Made in the same spirit as the Grand Vin of the property, the Chateau La Belle Connivence 2017 nevertheless maintains its own personality. Vinified under the watchful eye of oenologist Claude Gros and Stephane Derenoncourt's team of consulting winemakers, the Chateau La Belle Connivence 2017 consists of a blend dominated by Merlot (70%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (30%). The extreme care taken in the treatment of the vines and in the micro-parcel vinification allowed the team to obtain the very best in the 2017 vintage. With a profile marked by beautiful aromatic freshness and an interesting balance, the Chateau la Belle Connivence 2017 serves as a great introduction to the style of La Connivence.
