The freshness and elegance of a round and structured fine red wine from Pomerol
Located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, a stone's throw from Saint-Jean Church, Chateau Saint-Pierre is an essential reference of the appellation. Chateau Saint-Pierre is renowned for its great Pomerol red wines produced with the focused attention of Stéphane Derenoncourt and Frederic Massie, both world-renowned wine-consultants. Silky, full and structured, the wines of Chateau Saint-Pierre are undoubtedly Pomerols built to age.
Following in the footsteps of the estate’s First Wine, the Chateau Saint-Pierre II is a red Pomerol wine, which is more accessible in its youth than the Grand Vin of the property.
15 months in barrels, of which 25% new French oak
Tasted as a wine future, the Chateau Saint-Pierre II 2019 presents an elegant aromatic bouquet, marked by notes of black fruit, blackcurrant and licorice combined with notes of cocoa beans and delicate floral fragrances. On the palate, the wine reveals an elegant, refined texture with fine tannins that give the vintage a solid structure. Crisp and round, the wine charms with its tasty and fruity texture. With a beautiful minerality and persistence, the finish brings a nice freshness.
